PackAging Matters I

An important concept in Branding is packaging.  What should the packaging look like, how should it feel, how will it set you apart from the competition?  All of these questions must be considered.  At the top we discover Tropicana's older package and Tropicana's newer package.  What do you think?  I think that Topicana lost some of it's Brand "punch" so to speak.  It is okay to make changes but it is not okay to loose what sets you apart from the competition.  The orange with the straw in it has made a treamendous difference in setting Tropicana apart.  In the new design it is missing.  Not Quite the Best Change for Packaging!

PackAging Matter II

Even Kleenex has fun with packaging!  These boxes are a great representation of the season along with Kleenex's Brand Campaign Push.

PackAging Matters III

This Evian Water package is a great example of packaging design. The texture creates an "icy" feel.  The typography placed in a slanted position helps to create a slope on the bottle.

Music On the Cell...

Cell phone company's are going to the extreme of advertising now a days.  However, there are many captivating publications out there.  This advertisement was very creative with using the various types of phones for the company.

Butterfly Is My Style

Creativity Pays!  The poster for this zoo in San Francisco is a great example of gestalt.  Here we have the image of the butterfly wings and the space where the body would normally be. Great Way to get people to participate! Love the Design!

Brody in DESIGNS!

There is a consistency in movement and contrast found throughout Neville Brody’s work. Will his work is powerful the pieces are not so overpowering that we miss the message being conveyed.  His use of typography, color, and balance are spectacular!

AD up!

I love the mixture of illustration with photography.  The use of typography adds a great touch to this advertisement page for Thompson Hotels.  Great choice of contrast and color. The use of gestalt in the pic is a great way to "fill in the blank".  Simple, Strong, Satisfied.  I love the design.

Unconventional Chic

The spring 2011 Campaign Ads are in and Lacoste has a new one to be on the look out for- “Unconventional Chic”.  Lacoste mixes casual with the formal to relay their new message for their brand.  I love the contrast with the white background.  There ads are clean and crisp. Great Job for relaying the message!
